Event Listing Guidelines
Ashvyn Limited (NZBN 9429053917249) · Last updated 21 September 2026
Ashvyn GO was previously called Ashvyn Tickets. The name changed on 29 October 2026; the operator and these terms are otherwise unchanged.
Self-service organiser sign-up is not open yet. These guidelines describe how events will be reviewed once it opens.
These are the practical rules we apply when we review an event. They are part of the Organiser Terms.
1. Genuine events, and who may list them
List only real events that will take place. You must have the authority to submit and manage the event — either you organise it, or the organiser has authorised you to list it. We may ask you to show that authority.
Two kinds of listing appear on Ashvyn GO: events that independent organisers submit through their own accounts, and external discovery listings that Ashvyn itself adds and links out to the official page. These guidelines apply to organiser submissions. External discovery listings are labelled as such; Ashvyn is not the organiser or ticket seller for them.
2. Accurate details
Every detail a customer relies on must be accurate and current:
- title, date, start time and venue (with a real address);
- ticket prices and any fees, and what is included;
- age restrictions and other entry conditions;
- capacity, where you state it;
- performers, speakers and programme;
- access conditions and accessibility information.
Update the event, or tell us, if something changes.
3. Honest marketing
- No fake urgency, fake popularity or fabricated scarcity (for example, “only 3 left” when that is not true).
- No countdowns that reset, and no invented sell-out claims.
- “Free” means free. A free event must not require a hidden or compulsory payment elsewhere. If entry, tickets, or essential extras cost money, do not list the event as free.
- No false “official”, endorsed, sponsored or affiliated claims. Do not imply a venue, brand or artist is involved if they are not.
- Only advertise a named performer, DJ or speaker as confirmed when you have a reasonable basis to say so.
4. Images, posters and copyright
Use only images and content that you own or have permission to use. Finding an image on Google, Instagram, Facebook or another website does not by itself give you the right to reuse it, and crediting the creator may not be enough. Do not use logos or trademarks in a way that suggests a connection you do not have. See the Content & Image Rights Acknowledgement.
AI-generated artwork. AI-generated promotional artwork is allowed, provided it is not misleading and does not infringe anyone’s rights. It must not present fictional people, crowds, venues or performers as if they were real facts about the event. Where Ashvyn knowingly generates or uses AI promotional artwork itself, Ashvyn’s platform policy is to show the label “AI-generated promotional artwork”. That is our own platform policy; we do not say it is required by New Zealand law.
5. Licences, safety and the law
- Alcohol. If alcohol is served or sold, you are responsible for the licensing and host-responsibility obligations that apply.
- Age-restricted events. Clearly disclose any age restriction and ID requirement. Do not list an event in a way that targets people below the age limit.
- Music and performance. Music, performance and copyright licences remain your responsibility where they apply.
- Safety and legal compliance. You are responsible for health, safety, venue, crowd and other legal requirements for your event.
6. Content we will not publish
We will not publish content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or harassing, that promotes violence or illegal activity, or that exposes people’s personal information without their consent. Adult-oriented events may be listed only where they are lawful, clearly described and age-restricted, and where the listing itself (title, text and artwork) is suitable for a general event-discovery platform; explicit material is not permitted in listings.
Do not submit duplicate or spam listings, and do not include links that are malicious, misleading or take people somewhere other than the event you describe.
Do not include people’s personal information (for example private phone numbers or addresses) in an event listing.
7. How review works
We review each submission before it is published. The possible outcomes are that we approve it, ask for changes, or reject it, and we tell you why where reasonable. After approval, material changes may need to be reviewed again. Approval does not mean Ashvyn organises, verifies or endorses the event — see the Organiser Terms.
8. Refund and cancellation wording
The refund text you write for an event must not:
- falsely remove or limit customers’ rights under New Zealand consumer law;
- state a blanket “no refunds under any circumstances”;
- say that compulsory booking or service fees are always non-refundable, where consumer rights say otherwise (for example when an event is cancelled).
Ashvyn shows a consumer-rights note and a link to its Refund & Cancellation Policy beside your text on every Ashvyn-ticketed event page. We may ask you to change wording that breaches this rule before an event is published.
9. Cancellations, breaches and enforcement
If your event is cancelled, postponed or significantly changed, update the listing promptly and follow the Refund & Cancellation Policy. If a listing breaches these guidelines we may ask you to fix it, reject it, suspend it or remove it. For repeated or serious breaches — including fraud, deliberate misrepresentation or rights infringement — we may suspend or close the organiser account.
10. Reporting a listing
If you think a listing breaks these guidelines, or infringes your rights, email tickets@ashvyn.co with the event page link and what concerns you. We will look into it and may restrict or remove content while we do.
